A dialogue on the topic ‘Disaster Mitigation and Governance Responses‘ was organised on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 at ISDG Centre in Golf Links.

Our expert Panel Included Dr. Keshav Mohan (Former Director, Institute of Land & Disaster Management, Former Member, Kerala State Disaster Management Authority) and
John Samuel (International expert on Disaster Management, Former International Director Action Aid, UNDP Former Head, Global Democratic Programme). Informative and meaningful presentations followed by lively discussions touched upon various aspects of the theme from raising awareness, importance of training, early warning system, regular documentation of the number of ocean-going fishermen, disaster readiness, utilisation of allocated funds and governance default to victim rehabilitation and other disaster mitigation measures.
