Currently ISDG is engaged in the following activities in Phase 2:

• Developing a detailed follow up strategic need assessment of the panchayats in Pathanamthitta district where we worked, with clear case studies.
• Organising a national conference to develop the initial work on Disaster Risk Reduction to collect crucial strategic inputs and framework for developing a clear DRR bottom up strategy with excellent analysis.
• Bringing out a research report on Disaster Risk Reduction and Mitigation by bringing together experiences, perspectives, analysis and policy proposals to learn from the flood response, relief and reconstruction process.This is part of an initiative to bring together lessons learned in the context of disaster response in Kerala and elsewhere and also to get analytical perspectives on disaster preparedness and risk reduction from experts in this area.
