Prominent lawyer Prashant Bhushan said that there should be an opportunity to vote at home to strengthen democracy in the era of all kinds of technology.
He was speaking in a seminar on Panchayati Raj Constitutional Amendment: Gram Sabha|Ward Sabha Powers and Rights on the occasion of the inauguration of Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Social work of the Loyola College of Social Sciences. The event was organised in collaboration with Institute for Sustainable Development and Governance-ISDG and Kerala Civil Society Panchayati Raj Movement.
Central and state governments should seek public opinion when making decisions on policy issues. This system exists in developed countries.
